Evald has specific demands when it comes to goodnight stories. pick two books every evening he get to choose two books for us to read before turning the lights down low. he's not found of longer books with chapters and very critical when it comes to illustrations. they have to be good and give depth to the text. these are some of his favourites at the moment.

first photo: both of these two i remember from my own childhood. Jason is a colorful and lively story about the life of Jason and his ever so busy mum who both works at a factory and as a nude model at a crocquie class. The Wild Child (Den Ville Ungen) is also about the relationship between a mum and her little son. in this one it is the boy who is busy though. busy being naughty.

second: we absolutely adore the books about the care free Moomin family. the author Tove Jansson was an amazing illustrator as well and the books are filled with beautiful graphics and drawings.

last one: Jakob Martin Strid makes quirky and funny childrens books that even Mikkel wanna read. unfortunately not in english....yet. but as Hullet (The Hole) has no text what so ever you can say it's an international one.

one last recommendation is I Want My Hat Back. with it's surprise ending and simple looking images we simply can't get tired of this one. what have you been reading lately?
