the garden was completely frosted when we woke this morning. Knut is hosting a seminar today and was completely stressed out, but i spent hours just looking out of the window and rearranging things in the kitchen shelves. i guess it's time to use the cale which is the only thing left growing outside now. yesterday we collected seeds and i wonder i if they really will grow up to be new plants next year. almost sound to magical to be true.

bottom pic: the old octopus poster is from Frou Frou who also sell beautiful seed planches.

  3. Such a beautiful set of photos! We have been eating cale several times during the past week - so good in salads, finely chopped.

    1. agree on that. and you know, if you give the cale a little massage with maldon and some oil before putting it into the salad it gets even better!

  4. Kålen kan stå ut i frosten, så lenge den ikke blir gul og vissen. Da høster du bare frossen kål utover vinteren - genialt :)

Det øverste bildet der er så utrolig vakkert.
